What is “Better Together”?
Some things are simply better in pairs. We choose products that go well together because they work well together, not because of what they pay, and we tell you plainly whether we use them. Learn more about Better Together.
Today’s pairing: olive oil and salt
We use both of these at home.
Cobram Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oil

To us it tastes fresh and fruity with a smooth finish, and we reach for it every day, from salad dressings to sautéing and roasting. Lovely with crusty bread, a good salt or fresh vegetables. The bottle tells us it is 100% California, early harvest and cold pressed. We share it because we use it.

Redmond Real Salt, Ancient Fine Sea Salt

We use it every day, in our cooking and as our table salt. The pouch calls it an unrefined mineral salt and says it is mined in America. Those are the maker’s words. The label also notes that it does not supply iodide, a necessary nutrient.

Why we pair them
Good ingredients do not need much help. A little olive oil with crusty bread, fresh vegetables and a pinch of good salt is about as simple as it gets, and that is the point.
Before you buy
Check the retailer’s page for the current price, size and return policy. We do not list prices because they change. We have used both of these at home, and we make no claims beyond what is on the package and what we have seen in our own kitchen.
