What is “Better Together”?

Some things are simply better in pairs. In this series we choose two products (now and then three) that go well together and show you why. A pairing might be food, such as olive oil and salt, but it might just as easily be something for the home, the garden, the kitchen or everyday self-care. We pick pairs because they work well together, not because of what they pay. Not every item in a pairing earns us a commission, and some earn us nothing at all.

How to read a pairing

For every product we say plainly where it stands:

• We use it: it is in our home now.
• We’ve tried it: we have used it or seen it up close, and we say what for.
• Worth a look: we have researched it but do not own it.

We never say we tested something we did not, and we do not list prices, because they change.
